This project is a beautiful testament to what happens when clients fully surrender to the design process. We worked collaboratively to infuse the home with unique, vibrant elements that perfectly reflected this young family's personality. The design journey was intense but deeply connective, turning moments of stress into a foundation of trust. To see this family move in, knowing their two boys will grow up surrounded by this tailored beauty, and to receive their continued, enthusiastic support, has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career.

The challenge
Walking in after the walls were already down.
We actually jumped into this project mid-demo! With the kitchen and most of the bathrooms already gutted, our first priority was establishing a clear design direction so construction could keep moving.
We presented two complete design schemes for every space, working closely with her to narrow down the details and bring her distinct vision to life. The result is a space that feels deeply personal and beautifully bold, featuring a wallpapered dining room, a silvery-blue bath, and a sage kitchen accented with real stone.
The kitchen
The kitchen
A sage kitchen built around real stone.
We anchored the kitchen with a natural-quartzite island against muted sage cabinetry, then mixed brass and bronze through the hardware and bridge faucet so the metals feel collected, not matched. One of our favorite moments? The arched opening that frames the view straight into the wallpapered dining room.

Dining & living
Dining & living
A dining room built around one perfect wallpaper.
We built this entire dining room around one botanical wallpaper, and everything else serves it! The ceiling, baseboards, and window trim wrap the walls in a deep bluish-green pulled straight from the pattern, so the wallpaper truly carries the room. In the living room, we arched every doorway into the halls and transformed the old sheetrock niches into a beautiful grid-patterned wood fireplace.

The jack-and-jill bath
The jack-and-jill bath
Silvery blue, white oak, and a soft brass glow.
We layered soft silvery-blue walls over deep green trim and paired a white oak vanity with a light quartz counter. The diagonal green-and-white floor meets soft white tile, offset below and stacked above, under an arched shower opening. We kept the plumbing in quiet satin nickel and let brass sconces and mirrors, banded in soft blue, bring the warmth. Two metals in one room, and we love how it works.

The guest bath
The guest bath
Limewash walls and a warm zellige-look shower.
We went moodier in the guest bath: limewash walls in a warm truffle tone over a rust-brown painted vanity with a light quartz top. The shower wraps in glossy dark-brown zellige-look tile with a patterned border, and we grounded it all with a marble penny-tile floor and warm gold fixtures.

The primary bath
The primary bath
Walnut, marble, and a checkerboard floor.
For the primary bath, we paired a furniture-style walnut vanity with a marble counter and set a checkerboard stone floor on the diagonal to give the room its rhythm. We wrapped the walk-in shower in warm cream zellige-look tile with champagne-bronze fixtures, then finished with a sculptural black mirror and matching sconces that tie it all together.

In their words
★★★★★
She made the entire process exciting and stress-free. The end result exceeded all of our expectations and truly feels like our dream home.
